After losing the first game of the series with the Twinkies, The Indians look to right a sinking ship. A 4-1 loss on Friday, after the Kelly Shoppach marathon game, Leaves the Tribe sitting at 47-61, and in 5th place.
The Twins are 61-48, just a half game back of the Sox for the Division lead.
Now is the time for the young guys that are getting their opportunity's to have a say in who wins the division.
Tonight is Paul Byrd (5-10 4.93) vs Kevin Slowey (7-7 4.00). Could this be the final start for Byrd? Will a team in the race look to Byrd as a veteran, that can give them some experience and leadership for the title run?
As for the Indians, they have the honor (?) of being tied with Washington, for have the worst record in baseall since June 22 (3-13). Its time to get this thing going in the right direction.
Byrd is 0-2 with an era over 7 vs the Twins this year.
